First it was Dave Gorman using a familiar PowerPoint backdrop to his 'Googlewhack Adventure' show. Now at the Edinburgh fringe, Owen Powell is showing the folly of Starbucks global domination tactics with 'The Two Closest Starbucks in Britain', in which the comedian sets out on a journey armed with only a pedometer and the knowledge that his show will probably translate into a book-for-the-hard-to-buy-for just in time for Christmas, in much the same as way as Gorman's show did.
Bear this in mind the next time you stand up in front of your tired old slide deck. In spite of received wisdom, PowerPoint can be an entertaining medium after all. Used wisely, of course.
Why not make use of our experience to enhance your presentations. Get people enjoying what you say rather than laughing at how you said it.
